We chose a beer each and three 330ml glasses of local Zythos VAP beer were drawn. We presented the vouchers and were offered whatever drinks we wanted. A model of the whole building was on display too as well as the inner workings of the original clock I presume (as we found there were no working parts in the tower itself). We three middle aged British guys were on our last day on the island and wanted to do a few touristy things and this was on our bucket list.Īfter confirming that there was a drink in the bar included in the price of the tower visit we paid the cheerful woman at the bottom of the stairs the €15 and made our way up the stairs to the quiet open air bar area which was quite pleasant, only a few people and decorated with nick-nacks from the island including a vice made in Birmingham! There was also an exhibition showing how derelict this mediaeval Turkish watchtower had become and the restoration required to save it.
